Miss you all in
Eindhoven. The weather in
Hsinchu is getting cold with strong wind blowing outside, the coldest temperature will be 13C in the north of Taiwan during the midnight.
We were just like the "Alice in Wonderland" living in a new house in
Eindhoven, exploring all the new, dreaming world of Europe in a year time, rushing and meeting new countries, places, parties, activities, cultures, people and things in an very 'efficiency' way. The teachers in
RIS were just like the Mr. Rabbit, who told us that the times were very limited, we needed to prepare the snacks, lunch boxes, library books, gym bag, pizza or fruits, send and pick up the kids on time and attended the Santa Clause party, Fun Fairs, PC coffee morning, sport days, Halloween party, etc . Finally,
Mooi Hong's mom-- the queen has come to join us that made our life more colourful with her delicious Asian cuisine. In a sudden, we returned to the real world after flying back to Taiwan.
Sometimes the dreams were adventurous or extremely exciting. Just like the car were drove over 190m/hr on the free highway of Germany compare to the 120m/hr limit in Taiwan, the car climbing up the
continuously "Z" shape roads on the mountains like Alps and driving on the roads with snow to the ski resort,
skiing on the hills or mountains at
Serre Chaveliar, right handed driving in England which Taiwan is left handed driving, exploring the Fjords (Geologically, a fjord is a long, narrow
inlet with steep sides, created in a valley carved by
glacial activity. Source by the
Wikipedia) of
Norway by cruises which met the rain shower and rainbow, discovering the rear-view mirror of a car that parked in front of us has been ruined while we parked at the road side near the hotel we reserved in
Praha, visiting Venice by
waterbus (or called
vaporetti and
motoscafi) at night and walk over many bridges and old houses to find the 13
th century hotel that has no desk service after 9:00pm, climbing up the hills in the mountains near the
Mediterranean Sea to find the
Polrini fungi in Italy, etc.
Woops....!( Take a deep breath)
Actually, we were more lucky than Alice, because we have friends like you that could encourage us, share the experience while we were lost, and help us to prepare the parties for all of us to get together and know each other better. The children have a lot of fun. Without you, the life in
Eindhoven will be faded and dull.
'走過必留下痕跡' Every steps we took, will print on the mug and stain on the time river. We will always smile in our dreams. Soon, one day, we will meet again either in
Eindhoven, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, China or any countries in Europe or Asia, etc as this is a small world. Hope you and your family will enjoy the trips in Europe too.
Happy and healthy always,
Joanna,
YL, Apple & Ray
